About
It all began in the carpentry workshop of the German State Opera in Berlin. Here, I completed my apprenticeship as a stage carpenter, which was later followed by a degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in theater techniques.
My first positions as a technical director took me to the Tribüne in Berlin and the Kleist Theater in Frankfurt (Oder). In the same position I worked at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin and was involved in the first production "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in 1999.
From 2001, I worked as a project manager in the construction department at Stage Entertainment, responsible for the planning, conversion, and renovation of the Operettenhaus and the Theater im Hafen in Hamburg, the Theater des Westens in Berlin, and the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart.
In the production department of Stage Entertainment in Hamburg, my adopted home for over 20 years, I was responsible for the planning and technical implementation of various musicals and shows like “Elisabeth”, "Blue Man Group," "I've Never Been to New York," and many others, as a technical supervisor and production manager from 2004 onwards. My responsibilities also included the planning and implementation of expansions and upgrades to the stage equipment and the associated control systems.
Since 2011, I have been working as a freelance engineer in the areas of production and project management, as well as theater construction and modernization, managing many interesting projects in international teams and for international companies.
